I would ask him if he writes every day and if he sees Rush as something he has to do as a job or for the fans or if he keeps on doing it because he truly enjoys it.

It would be tough for me to talk to him. I've met many famous people and never had a problem talking to them. Sting was a toughie. I could always engage Michael Hutchence in a conversation and my wife said "he always just rushes through [backstage]. You get him to stop." We worked for a record store chain in the 80s and got passes many times (never to Rush - I had to spend a night outside the hotel on the sidewalk for that one).

I met Geddy and Alex on the Power Windows tour, and that was when Alex became my favorite. Alex is genuinely funny, he talks with fans, he is the one who keeps Rush going. He produced the videos for "Rush in Rio" and "R30". Geddy is moody, short answers, hates pictures. I didn't get to meet Neil because he was out in the city at the time. I'm sure if I met him I'd be nervous and intimidated.
