Gorilla fanfare

Most people have seen the video of the two guys that raised a circus lion at their home then went to visit him after some years left in the wild. They were told and convinced that the lion would not remember them after the passage of time, but the animal and the amazing love-fest of a reunion spoke otherwise.
Let's try it again, shall we, but instead of a savanna, the venue here is a jungle, and replace the lion with a gorilla. Let's see what happens...

Date: 2010-06-24 03:37 pm (UTC)Even so - this and the earlier lion video show that animals (other than domesticated ones) do indeed bond with specific people. It's interesting that Kwibi had been noted to attack humans - but with his friend there, he seemed perfectly willing to tolerate other humans. Not to mention that his harem seemed willing to tolerate the humans as long as Kwibi was cool with it.

Date: 2010-06-24 11:10 pm (UTC)I'm assuming he's from the Aspinall family in the UK who are famous for their animal protection activities - they have a nature reserve for endangered animals somewhere in rural England I think.
