I can envision the parking lots at the various furry conventions having a preponderance of Kia Souls because of these commercials.

Okay, what do the other "vehicles" represent? Toaster has to be a Honda Element. The cardboard box has to be aimed at the Nissan cube and Scion xB. This version of the commercial has washers/dryers, I am assuming aimed at the appliance-like nature of some other cars. What's y'all's take?

Only 31mpg highway?! My 10 year old Honda Civic got 34+ on the recent trip to/from Oregon....

And yeah, I hate rap, but I suspect I'm not the target market for that vehicle anyway.

I think you're right on with your assessment of the representations of the other cars in this ad.

Folks might not necessarily agree with me, but of all the cars this compares with, especially the current (grotesque manifestation calved from a Camry) Scion Xb, this would be the one I'd buy. It does indeed have personality.

Our neighbors have a Soul, and it's actually very roomy on the inside. Very bear friendly.

I planning on riding the hell out of my Honda Element, but once it's dead, I may replace it with a Soul since the Elements are extinct now.
