I think it would be making music. I am a (very) frustrated musician. No matter which instruments I have played over the years, I never reached any sort of competence that I was satisfied with. I can make a ton of music in my head, but making it a physical reality was always a mental stumbling block. I have perfect pitch but in comparison I could not carry a tune if it had a handle on it. I can make the sounds, but it’s always lacking to me. Hence it has been a tinkering sort of hobby for me throughout the years and a bit less more recently.

Date: 2005-03-16 12:10 pm (UTC)In the design field, there are conceptualists and craftmen. Sounds like you two are both good at coming up with a concept but don't have the patience to craft and tweak it. There are so many people out there who don't have songs in their heads but if you give them a concept, or a segment of music, they could craft out the most beautiful piece... maybe a partnership?
