I think it would be making music. I am a (very) frustrated musician. No matter which instruments I have played over the years, I never reached any sort of competence that I was satisfied with. I can make a ton of music in my head, but making it a physical reality was always a mental stumbling block. I have perfect pitch but in comparison I could not carry a tune if it had a handle on it. I can make the sounds, but it’s always lacking to me. Hence it has been a tinkering sort of hobby for me throughout the years and a bit less more recently.

Date: 2005-03-16 08:20 am (UTC)But on a more ... perhaps 'uplifting' side of the coin, it seems like a lot music makers are never happy with their final product. I'm always amazed when someone responds positively to whatever it is I've done. So I'd just say don't let it become too little of a hobby if it means something to you.
